Have you gotten a pay raise lately?  Did it meet your expectations?  Do you deserve more?  The average merit increase in the US is projected to be just 2.9% in 2019, and on average hovers somewhere around 2-3% in the recent past.  You can give yourself a much bigger pay raise just by buying one single-family house.  Andy Web compares the normal pay raise to the single-family pay jump in this show.
