Jobs that produce nothing do the economy no good.

People who are paid to do nothing do themselves no good.

In the long run what is a job but just another opportunity to be a slave.

You might as well get up and go to the jail every day and work and earn and come home at night and go, “Hey, I did my day.”

And then get up the next morning and work and earn.

Producing

Well, my friends, I guess you all are feeling pretty good today, huh? You know what I mean. You heard the great one speak and pontificate that the world is all going to be better. That he himself is going to change the world and take care of you.

And again, you sat back and listened to that and believed that and have given in to the fact that you’re just nothing but a lemming. That you’re a domesticated human being that is going to take no action towards their life, correct?

“Au, contraire,” you say. “No, I’m not going to fall for that one anymore.” Well, that’s good. It’s time to change your life. It’s time to do something positive. It’s time to realize that whatever you want in life you can have if you help enough other people.

But you’ve got to get out there and do something. You’ve got to get out there and produce, and that’s the important difference. You’ve got to make a difference in this world. And what do we do to make a difference?

We are taking properties that are in disrepair, and we’re fixing them up, and we’re making them wonderful places for people to live. We’re taking whole neighborhoods and turning them around and changing a society into a place that is loving and productive and fun and exciting and just a darn good place to live.

Creating Jobs

Now, you think about this when you ask yourself how the government says that they’re going to help us. I like the concept we’re going to create jobs. We need a job law. Send me a jobs bill. Send me a jobs bill. What kind of a jobs bill can they produce other than get out of our way and let us produce jobs? Think about it.

I had a concept of let’s create consulting firms that actually help people to be good at real estate investing. And you know that starts out like being just me and a couple guys, and now it’s hundreds of people helping thousands of people. And there’s so many people out there that have gained jobs because of this. Let’s think about this.

We have 8,000 customers here that are out there buying, selling, flipping, and renting real estate. There are 50 to a hundred vendors that are over here selling their wares to our customers helping them produce nice places for people to live.

So we’re producing places for people to live, we’re making money for ourselves and our partners, we’re making money for the vendors, the vendors have a place to work and something to do, all because we—the private sector—decided we’re going to go out there.

Stimulated by a profit, stimulated by producing net worth for ourselves, stimulated by wanting to be self determinate instead of communally determinate, stimulated by all of these economic driving factors that are a part of capitalism—we are making jobs happen. We’re creating jobs.

Taxing Productivity

The government doesn’t create jobs. The government can take a job away from the private sector and put it into the public sector. The government can claim jobs that it didn’t create and say, “Well, we saved these jobs because we did something.” What jobs did you save? You didn’t save any jobs that were already there.

The police—that’s government job. The military—that’s government job. None of these are actually jobs that produce anything. They’re just more service jobs that the government puts out. And how does the government put it out? The government produces those jobs by taxing productivity.

So instead of having all those people in the government payrolls, these people could be out there in the real world producing things that people could be enjoying, producing results that could be beneficial. But hey, let’s not get political. We listened to an hour of political lies last night.

Results

Let’s get onto what’s important about ourselves. What can we do for ourselves that the government can’t do for us? I’ll tell you. Let’s take a look. I have people call me up and say, “Del, I’ve been with this program now—I’ve been investing now for six months. In six months I’ve purchased eight homes. Of those eight homes I’ve averaged at least $25,000 worth of capital gain on each of them so that’s 250,000 bucks I’ve gained in just six months. I have now about $2,000 a month positive cash flow.”

And I get these emails all the time. They’re out there. You’re probably out there right now. In fact if you are and you want to call in and talk about your results, please do. Any of you, call up, talk about your results because what I want you to see is that the government can’t do that for you.

They’re not going to do that for you. Only you can do that for you, and you can do it quite simply. It’s a very simple thing to do. No, you can’t do it by doing nothing. You’re going to have to act. You’re going to have to act correctly. You’re going to have to do the smart thing, but you can do it.

Pride

I want you all to sit in the corner, and I want you to hold out your hand. And I want you to hold it out in front of you, and I want you to wait for the dollars to come from Obama’s employment programs and new laws. I want you to just wait for that money to come sliding into your hand. I want you to wait for the doorbell to ring and a guy to say, “We’ve got your job. We’ve got something for you to do.”

Now, it’s not all that productive, but it’s something for you to do. And you go, “Au, contraire.” Anything is good for you. So they put you to work down at the courthouse shining and polishing the cannon out in front of the courthouse. And that’s your job for the next five to ten years—getting up every morning and picking up the cigarette butts, mowing the yard, and shining the cannon in front of the courthouse.

This is something that’s going to give you pride? Is this something that’s going to create long-term benefit to your family? Is there job security in cannon cleaning and polishing? No.

So one day you come home to your wife and you say, “Honey, I’ve got to make a change. There’s no job security in welfare. I’ve got to make a change. So what I’m going to do is I’m going to go into business for myself. I’m going to create real entrepreneurial activity that will enhance the economy.”

And she said, “Well, honey, what are you going to do?” And he said, “I’m going to go buy my own cannon and go into business for myself.” There it is, folks. There’s the reality of jobs programs.

Slavery

Jobs that produce nothing do the economy no good. People who are paid to do nothing do themselves no good. In the long run what is a job but just another opportunity to be a slave. You might as well get up and go to the jail every day and work and earn and come home at night and go, “Hey, I did my day.” And then get up the next morning and work and earn.

Does the country really need more jobs? No. The country needs production. We need something positive to happen, something to be produced. People to get better to be better to grow and to become something.
