(February 18, 2015) The Del Walmsley Radio Show: Grade A Debt For The Grade A Student

If you ever sat through a college-prep lecture in high school, you might have heard the speaker mention that it would substantially increase your chances of attaining a well-paying job. Maybe so. But, never did you here them say, “oh and one other thing, you’ll have to dish out anywhere from 40 to $100,000 to pay for it, the resulting debt will gut your credit score, so you’ll have no purchasing power, and a fraction of the job opportunities we just mentioned will actually exist.” No, that would have been a different lecture entirely. Well, Del’s prep class is now in session, the rose colored glasses are off and today’s college education gets the evaluation it deserves.

(February 17, 2015) Del Walmsley: Don’t Let The Catch-22 Get You

What’s the trick to getting somewhere in today’s economy? There is no trick at all. But, that’s not to say that you are not being tricked in the game of attaining financial mobility. For example, to say to people, who cannot secure themselves financially with their earned income and savings alone, that they should secure their debt, their low income and their insufficient savings, is entirely illogical. Yet, that’s exactly what is proposed in a Wall Street article read by Del Walmsley right here on this podcast. But, don’t worry, when paired with Del’s real financial advice, this article is a fantastic read!

(February 17, 2015) The Del Walmsley Radio Show: Pushing A Boulder Up A Hill, Only To Watch It Roll Down The Other Side

For many Americans, the most scrutinized things in their lives are their income, their savings and their debt. Then, with the advent of a recession, these are the very arenas that are affected the most; income stagnates or it falls, savings get depleted and debt goes up. So, is it really that helpful for the PEW Charitable Trusts to report these very items as the most important issues to be tackled by U.S. families today? We’d say… no. So, where do you go from here? Well, if it is not if another recession is coming, but when, then maybe the question you should be asking yourself is if your income and savings plans will pan out, instead of asking when. This podcast is here to introduce you to a new element of the equation – investments that pay you and shield you from a life spent pushing a boulder over a hill.

(February 16, 2015) Del Walmsley: The 401k – Open For Criticism & For Fraud

Do a quick search of 401k fraud and you will likely find Pandora’s Box of criminal abuse to these accounts. Del Walmsley sure did. But, what you will have a harder time finding is someone roasting this very topic, who is not only supposed to believe in this retirement saving strategy, but who makes his money from it as well. Yes, we always knew that the supplemental 401k plan had been reduced to upside down logic, but we would have never guessed that its marketing had as well.

(February 16, 2015) The Del Walmsley Radio Show: What Happens When The Other Side Stops Fighting Back

Apparently, it may no longer be necessary for Del Walmsley to point out the endless downsides of the 401k. As this show reveals, his competition is starting to do the job for him. Yes, on this podcast, Del reads an article sent out by Ric Edelman Financial Services (a 401k administration company) that bashes 401k administration companies, which is authored and backed by (would you believe it) Ric Edelman. Oh, and one other thing, Del also reveals that 401k fraud may be the most prevalent white collar crime that exists today…

(February 12, 2015) The Del Walmsley Radio Show with Special Guest, John Ridgway: Rude Awakenings That Lurk Between The Lines of Social Security

On this podcast, Del Walmsley and John Ridgway swap stories and insights about the pitfalls of Social Security. Ironically, the conversation starts with a story about John and his wife going to a seminar to learn how to boost the return of these very assets. Needless to say, the conversation begins to follow a different tune quite quickly – something about dying ahead of schedule putting a wrinkle in the seminar’s strategy… However, the point of this podcast is to relay this counterproductive information related to Social Security, so when the time comes for you to retire, you can have the last laugh instead of having it the other way around.

(February 11, 2015) Del Walmsley: “New Study Finds Leakage From 401k Plans & Individual Retirement Accounts”

You may be wondering the same thing we were here – “what on earth is leakage?” Well, without spoiling the shock word of the day, it is a real thing that is really happening to these particular savings plans, according to The Center For Retirement Research at Boston College… and it isn’t good. So, if you just want to satisfy your curiosity or you merely just want to hear Del Walmsley say the word leakage in the context of saving money, then this is the podcast for you!

(February 11, 2015) The Del Walmsley Radio Show: The Never Ending Con For Your Cash

Everywhere you go, there is a system designed to sap you dry of your hard-earned money. But, the one’s you should be worried about are not those that are meagerly disguised with slick branding and an overly noticeable good-Samaritan veneer. No, the systems you should be worried about are the one’s that hide in plain sight. The reality is that many savings plans that can be adopted today are purposefully mired, hopelessly exhausted or inherently flawed concepts that continue to exist because of over-dependence and a lack of awareness/understanding of the alternatives. Conning people out of their money is an art form and this podcast is dedicated to showing you the key players holding the brush.

(February 10, 2015) Del Walmsley: Staying Up To Date In A World That Is Constantly Spinning

There are few investments that move to the clip of your life, which is problematic because your life can change in the blink of an eye. Today, in a globalized marketplace, the latest trend, new workplace entrants and even something happening on the opposite end of the globe can affect how you stay ahead financially. Here to display this point is Del Walmsley, as he mirrors the massive undervaluing of one of the greatest rock performers to ever live to the undervaluing of the incredible financial earning power real estate investment has possessed for decades.

(February 10, 2015) The Del Walmsley Radio Show: A Beatle Standing For Change No Matter What The Cost

The Beatles shook the rock era to it’s bones, changed music forever and were a centerpiece of an international sociocultural revolution. Most, if not all songs contained in their seemingly endless hit albums still ring true in the minds, in the lives and in the hearts of an entire generation. Some can’t even detach themselves from their vinyls wherever they go. Why would you!? But, times have changed and now terms like “hit single” and “instant classic” are commonly used to measure most of today’s musical talents. But, what is beyond measure in Del Walmsley’s mind is one of the very last Beatles, Sir Paul McCartney, playing backup guitar in the shadows of the Grammy’s “A-List” performers. Fortunately, however, McCartney’s symbolism and prowess on the stage will never die, but change comes fast and we’re not all rock gods. Our message on today’s podcast? Change happens quickly and it’s time you started planning for it!
